Home remedies to treat toenail fungus naturally


    
     Toe fungus or onychomycosis is a very common disease caused by the appearance of white, brown, or yellow spots on the toenails.

     As a result of this disease, the nails become thick or break and no one would like to see it in their feet. The disease is characterized by swelling, thickening, rusting, and pain in the fingers.

     This is usually caused by poor foot hygiene, a weakened immune system, poor foot hygiene, or poor blood circulation.

However, the good news is that there many home remedies to treat toenail fungus.

Baking Soda


      Baking soda has the ability to dry out the moisture absorbed in the feet while it also treats toenail fungus along with getting rid of foot odor. To do this, mix baking soda with water to make a paste and apply it on the affected area. Leave this paste on for 10 minutes and then wash off. Also, mix baking soda in a bucket of water and dip your feet in it.



Oatmeal


       This treatment of the toenail problem is also effective. Fill a large tub with two-thirds of water and mix oatmeal in it. After an hour, dip your feet in it for half an hour or more.

White vinegar

  
      Vinegar has a slightly acidic property, which restores the hydrogen balance in the skin to get rid of the fungus, as well as prevents the fungus from spreading while killing bacteria. Mix equal amounts of vinegar and water and soak the affected area in this liquid for half an hour daily. Also, make sure to dry your feet after this process.

Mouth wash


    Mouthwash eliminates bacteria and germs in the mouth, so why not use it to kill germs in the feet? Its antiseptic properties remove harmful bacteria and fungi, mix equal amounts of white vinegar and mouthwash and immerse the affected area in it for half an hour, then gently rub the area. Repeat this process once or twice a day until the infection is gone.

Garlic


     Garlic also has anti-fungal properties, its ingredients such as allicin and aloe vera are helpful in treating toenail fungus. Grind the garlic to extract the liqueur or mix its oil in white vinegar and then apply this mixture on the affected part and then cover it with a bandage. Leave this bandage on for a few hours. Repeat this process daily until the fungus is gone.

Tea tree oil


   This can be a natural treatment for toenail fungus, first, clean the affected area and then apply this oil on the affected area. Leave the toenails and skin dipped in it for 10 minutes and then rub gently. Repeat this process daily.

Wax


    Wax is found in every home and is used to control coughs, but its ingredients, such as camphor and eucalyptus oil, can also help treat it. One study found that the use of wax can have a positive effect on the treatment of toenail fungus. For this purpose, apply a small amount of wax daily on the affected area.

Lavender oil


     This oil is a disinfectant which also prevents itchy skin. Dip cotton wool in this oil and apply it on the affected area and leave it for 10 to 20 minutes and then wash. Repeat this process several times throughout the day.

Urea paste


   Urea paste can also help treat toenail fungus at home, which helps to remove the affected area, after which an antifungal cream can be used. However, this procedure should be followed with the advice of a doctor because of the nails. The risk of infection may increase after that part is removed.
